In case you’re wondering, I’ve moved. See on your dashboard, I’ve just followed you again.

Moving places again. I really am a sailor. Kind of. Bye.

I am back in slightly cold West Ireland. Straight back to work and it was a bit of a shock finding 29 patients on the list. The guys whumped me on the back and did the guy-handshake as a welcome-back sign. Greta, the lady who does the bloods grinned as she saw me, the girl who orders blood like anything. And there are 4 med students crowding the ward rounds now. Peh. OK, OK, I shouldn’t...
hey. Just here to say
I AM OFF!! 2 whole weeks of holidays.
I haven’t been reading blogs or replying messages or facebooking much lately. things have been crazy at the hospital these past few days, way too busy and I’m glad for this break.
So far, just as I’m getting ready even now, I’ve gotten 6 bleeps from the hospital in a span of a few minutes. They still think I’m working. Hah!
OK,...
The Quest for the Lost Castle (and an acorn and...
I don’t really have time to blog that much now. Who would have thought that being a medic is so busy huh. Anyway, I’m getting the hang of things and Xray doc is still the same meanie but that’s OK.
This week, I’ve been thrown into Sacred Heart, a rehab, which is a nice change because I’m the only one there and I get to rule over all!! Muahahah!! OK, not really, but...

all the pictures in my computer = GONE!
The ones with my family, my graduation pics, the travels, the weird days, with my friends.
*sob*
Any way of retrieving them? Help!
~~~
Otherwise, things are OK. Had my head patted twice by Dr X (and I flinched because the last time anyone did that was when I was less than 4 ft tall).
~~~
Oh yeah, I was bleeped this morning. Something about a parcel...
Okaaay...
I was busy looking up bloods when someone in a dark suit stood beside me and asked
“Is this fax machine working?”
“Uhuh. I think so.”
And I continued with my work.
“Do you ever think of suicide?”
“Huh? What?? Eh?”
“Suicide”
“NO. Never.”
“Why? Because you’re pretty? Because you’re intelligent?”

Someone once told me that in Tralee, they used to get the interns to do oncalls in the Emergency dept (ED). Until one of the interns accidentally caused an anaphylactic reaction in one of the patients (patient unable to breath, had to be resuscitated). hmmm…
In Oopsy Daisy, we still have to cover the ED. Maybe they haven’t heard of the rumour in Tralee…
I’m fine. Really....
Shhh. dam breaking here
I’m oncall tomorrow! *sob*
This is the first time that I won’t be going back to Galway… *sob sob* And you know what.. I only just knew about this today as they did the new rota this morning.
OK, will make full use of this. I will finally be able to clean my room and sortout the stuff I don’t need. And then, maybe see what OopsyDaisy Town has to offer. I wonder if Annie...
I chose this place. My first choice. That was before I considered how small OopsyDaisy is. How very isolated. If you drive two minutes in any direction, you’ll be out of the town and into the wilderness (OK, kidding). But it’s probably good for my training as I’m doing SHO stuff (supposedly), not just intern work. With the EU working directive, I doubt I’d get much training...

in between, I put pictures.
Despite the sobbing and tears eh no.. the doctor who makes me want to utter horrible curses hard work, there are little things that puts a grin on my face.
Sunny Days and walking down the stairs from the docs res to the A&E and seeing the small field next to the hospital. Sometimes, there will be a few people playing there. Yeah, Sunny Days are nice, except if it’s on a Thursday (today)...

Suddenly, I feel far too lazy to continue with blogging. Maybe through share and share alike… I’ll do that one.
Of the past, present and being a baby
The consultant came in late today, so, the three of us (myself, Kieth and the reg) just hung about by big bay window, beside Lupin’s ward. Somehow, the conversation steered towards facebook and now, they know I have an account and they wanted to add me… Strange. Mishra MJ, I told them. “MJ? Michael Jackson? ahahahahahah!!” and then we talked about MJ.
With guys, they...
1st day by myself
as an intern.
was brilliant! I love my team, really do. The consultant kept exclaiming “right as a spoon!”, “how are ye doin there?”, “you’re alright” and other McH’s trademark talk.
The reg is cool, as I’ve said before. He asked me to cook for him again because he’s oncall today.
The new SHO, Louise, taught me loads, as did Kieth, the...

Fun
It’s so hot here and the sky is blue. I went to town after the induction to sort out the mobile internet for OopsyDaisy. Had to get an iced mocha from Butlers and was treated to doner burger by CQ for lunch :)
‘Work’
Really packed. And we haven’t even started anything yet. Just the induction - taking bloods, ABGs (that painful one, when you hit the bone, which...
And I'm back!
This is going to be a long one. I might not get a chance to blog once I start work.
Trip: London - Venice - Florence - Pisa - London - Gold Leaf city - Inis Mor - London - home to Gold Leaf
Venice
~ was OK. The first time I saw the gondolas and the striped gondoliers, my camera suddenly went on autopilot mode, snapping every few seconds.
~ I succumbed to the Venetian masks again and bought...

I’m alone at home at the moment. Pros:
- Max volume listening to Love Story Mets Viva La Vida (until my ears couldn’t take it)
- Painting the whole day till my back hurts (I forgot that the easel can be adjusted) and missed lunch. I won’t be able to do this if anyone was around because I feel like I’d rather spend my time with them. Well, actually, I can. I finished paintning the ocean and am in...
heheh...
I’ve just found out something.
After a year of using my telephotozoom lens, about 5 seconds ago, I realized that it came with a round lens hood.
XD
But I’m still using the petal hood that I printed out (after unpacking the printer) and painstakingly cut.
*laughing quietly while rubbing hands gleefully*,...
this is great!
I mean, I’ve been looking for one since ages. OK, not ages, but since 2 weeks ago and now, I can just make my own. Now, all I need is an A4 cardboard, a knife and a printer (I’ve packed all my stuff…)
I’ll set out to get the stuff and if it works, Yattaaaa~!! again.
Strange and perfect
I think pink floral dresses are magnets for weird things and weirder people. Adding up to make a quirky, interesting and somehow, perfect day.
Start off: After another failed attempt at retail abstinence, we bought more bread and headed to the docks to fatten the swans again.
First weird encounter: a girl, about 16, sat beside me and asked for bread too, saying that her friends are making fun of...

ITAIIII~!
My arms hurt, I feel all battered and am in need of a full body massage which will remain a dream. No, I didn’t just went wild in town (well, maybe on the shopping bit). Just carried more boxes bigger than myself and a bag full of camera equipment all day long around the city. ITAAII~
Full of tourists, buskers, magicians, face painters, balloon-man, a wishing wizard and a statue. Sun +...
