This was written yesterday or one of the days when it was quiet, save for the very soft pitter patter of raindrops. A day when it’s just nice to sit inside and drink a hot mug of chocolate. And read. And talk.
I even made that Chuck-Everything-In-The-Pot Dish.
I have found out something heavenly this weekend. Tunnock’s milk chocolate mallow. Mmmmmmmmmmmm… Soft, creamy, I just feel like mmmmmmmm…
(can only be eaten once at a time. rich enough for me)

I actually find it not too bad travellng back and forth every weekend. Looking out of the window, at the trees, sheep and the signboard of ‘Galway’ is a good feeling. It’s like my home saying “Hello Mishra! Not long now, before you can relax in that cream coloured so-very-soft chair and read a chic lit and chat all night long with the girls”. I’ve since found out a new way to town, which I didn’t know existed. Also learnt from Shark that there’s a very nice 3-room apartment located by the river going for cheap and when I come back here/there, I will certainly have a look at it. And hope that I can find another person to share it with. Getting a bit confused as to where my home is now.
I met a lady from Mauritius who is travelling across Ireland with her son and we had a good talk. Mind you, she was the one who called out first (because I was busy with my ears plugged, listening to Maksim Mrvica). She’s in Galway for the weekend, before going back to Dublin and off to London to visit relatives. According to her, the son is a Mama’s boy since he’s the only child and they argue a lot, but they’re still very close. Oh we talked loads while Mama’s Boy was busy asking stuff at the counter. If only he knew…
I also met an old woman at the Athlone bus station and she helped keep a look out for the bus to Roscmn for me. Also reminded me that the shop will close in a few minutes’ time, in case I needed a cup of coffee or anything. She’s a simple looking person and smiled a lot :)
A nice girl helped carry my big blue rattan (or stick or reed or something) box when she thought I had left it behind on the bus. I was actually going back to get it, after bringing down my bag. And the box was on sale, so, I had to get it. To store my tudung and the duvet cover and pillow cases…
See. It’s not too bad travelling back and forth. I won’t get stuck in a car with strangers again (except for taxis). I will also not buy a load of junk every weekend, forcing me to lug a heavy load every time I return to Roscmn (the bus driver won’t even open the luggage door for me).

And today’s a good day. Discharged 6 patients! Woot! We now have a record of 18 inpatients which is a big thing since we normally have 40.
A surprise for me again, when I saw Pat’s name on teh patient list. He’s the one who reminded us to send him a card when we passed our exams. Imagine how excited I was. He said he received the card we sent him and he’s put it up on a special place on the mantlepiece. “See, my prayers for you were answered! Now, here you are…” *grins* Well, I hope you get better soon, Pat.
We had grand rounds today and can you believe it, the others were also there only because of the free food! And I thought only students and people like me feel that way. I overheard someone say that they don’t care for the presentation, now Where’s the food? Guess we’re no different. “Hey, Mishra, Dr McH is looking for you outside” <— one of the ways to get to the food quicker.
Also saw an ascitic tap being done. I wanted to help, but the reg wouldn’t let me :( huh. And I still find it hard not to feel sick when someone pukes. I can’t start humming and closing my eyes and stop breathing and shoving my fingers inside my ears like I used to (When I was small and other people were puking in the car due to motion sickness). Bear with it. Imagine trees and wind in the trees. hmm
OK, that’s it for a while now. Hope this is long enough for you.
