Eye Candy
Weekend~ Four people in the apartment! That’s the most number of girls gathered since everyone started work. What we agreed: this tough, tough life, poor us, with no good food, not enough sleep. And how some loath the reg/SHOs/nurses at work who keep on embarrassing them, how we long for retirement, snatching up young enough consultants and retiring soon after. Most of what we talked about were rubbish, but designed to make things lighter. Nodding and comforting each other in one go :D At least I don’t feel so alone in this torture-filled world of internship (Yes, like you said, I’m just a drama queen).
~Want to know something? Initially, I didn’t want to go back to Galway this weekend, but after Friday, I had to. The most exhausting, exasperating, near-tears-inducing day ever and I had to be with the others who are crazy, nice and funny enough to make me smile :)

So, back to Home. CQ was so sick that I had the urge to go and pinch some drips from the hospital and do an iv cannulla to get some fluids in. He was supposed to be on-call on Saturday, but had to sleep in the whole day instead. Good thing there was someone willing to cover the call. Differental diagnosis thought up by Aoife and I: Poisoned by mushrooms (it wasn’t me)/ gallstones - made worse by those fried chicken wings/ appendicitis/norovirus. That afternoon, after sleeping the whole day, CQ went online and bought health insurance (“In case I have to get my gallbladder out, I want to stay in a private room. Ensuite, preferably”)
Mr Waffle for lunch with Aoife. Ice creams are divine. I became a mini shopaholic again. Not too bad though, because most of the stuff I bought were kids clothes which I can slip into easily thanks to the fact that kids nowadays are becoming bigger and myself with these genes + driven to being a slave = smaller. OK, OK, I’m not that tiny, don’t worry. I just bought the ones for 13-year-olds. And kids really are bigger now.

Saw a free live band with drums, guitar, flute and trumpet. I just love the flute.. amazing music! This was in Shop Street :) There’s someone sleeping on the steps in front of Brown Thomas there. Taken with the phone. I think I might just bring my dslr the next time I go back.

So, yes, the two days = great. J’ADORE LE WEEKENDS!
Even the journey back was OK (minus the stupid impatient guy). An old man who sat behind me at the station started humming and strumming a guitar. A happy song that made me smile.

Hey ho. I made sushi with my Annie, my Roscmn housemate. No pictures because I was so hungry and ate, ate, ate. Also went on a DVD shopping spree after work because Lemon’s not here to download anymore movies for me.
***
Bank holiday weekend’s coming up. Will get to meet up with Aine again :D Plans galore? Nope. We’ll just hang out and see where things go. Hope everyone will be fine (not sick or anything).

Please update me on the trip. Loads of pictures please. Fill in the whole blog.
